We believe that preparation is the key to passing the trainee driver selection tests for the railway. While everyone learns differently, practice is essential for making progress. That’s why our resources are designed to simulate the kind of tests used in rail recruitment — not exact replicas, but useful training tools based on what successful candidates have reported.

Train driver trainee assessment attempts are limited. Under the current standard, new candidates generally have up to three attempts, with substantial waiting periods following a failed attempt. Candidates who began the process before 7 December 2024 may remain subject to the previous rules. Always confirm your position with the recruiting Train Operating Company (TOC) or assessment centre.
